Attending the Till Symposium radically changed my approach to playing the violin. The Taubman-Golandsky approach for strings offers a clear and complete set of principles based on physical logic. This knowledge organizes the challenges of violin playing, from what was to me an endless and insurmountable set of obstacles into a coherent framework that allows the natural intelligence of the mind and the body to function. I've yet to ask Sophie a question she couldn't answer with a concrete, physical solution.
