I approached Sophie as I had been experiencing playing discomfort and was in need of a quick solution. From our first Skype lesson/session, I knew this was going to be ‘big’. She was able to logically and clearly explain the answers to my many questions about approaching violin playing in a healthy way. The depth of her knowledge is extraordinary. Although my initial question was answered immediately, 8 years later (many Skype hours as well as many intensive study periods with her in person), I have gained a comprehensive understanding of the motions needed in order to dispel playing limitations.

I now know it is possible to have nagging questions about playing the violin answered in a logical and positive way. I continue to have regular lessons, and as result of such a positive and encouraging time with Sophie, I have enrolled to become a certified instructor myself.
